THE RECOMMENDED BRACE HEIGHTS OF BODNIK BOWS
The brace height of a traditional bow is one of the most important settings and has a massive impact on the performance of the bow. (Brace height is the measurement of the distance between the string and the deepest part of the bow grip.)
If a bow has an incorrect brace height, either too high or too low, you will recognize the problem by the following symptoms:
- The arrows will not be grouping as tightly
- The noise level of the bow when shot will increase or decrease
- The performance of the bow will change
- The arrow may kick up when shot
It is the responsibility of every bowyer and the companies who manufacture bows to determine the ideal brace height for each of their bow models and make that information readily available to the public.
The individual brace heights for all Bodnik Bows are available on the website or our exclusive partner, Bearpaw Products. We have listed them here on our blog for you as well. In this chart you can find the correct brace heights of all Bodnik Bows at a glance!
THE RECOMMENDED BRACE HEIGHTS OF BODNIK BOWS
Make it a habit to check the brace height of your bow every time before you shoot. Always make any adjustments to your brace height before shooting. This is especially important before each tournament where, of course, the whole idea is about shooting your best possible scores against your friends and fellow archers.
Are you are wondering, how to properly set and adjust the brace height of your bow correctly?
If so, you might enjoy the video below where Henry Bodnik describes the process in detail!
