VISIT TO archery shop FREIER

Traditional archery specialists, those who are experienced and can give competent advice are the lifeline of instinctive archery shooters everywhere. Archery Freier in Würzburg is well known for its expertise in instinctive and traditional archery. Recently, I was invited by Alexander Freier to meet with Thomas Brugger from BogenSportExtrem in Alexander's shop in Würzburg to talk about the traditional archery business and to share our insights and stories of what's going on in the world of traditional archery.

So much in advance!

It was a great afternoon filled with interesting videos and of course we all decided to shoot some arrows.

We also took lots of great pictures that I want to share with you.

First, we met in the Bogensport Freier shop in Würzburg and we all talked together in front of the camera and shared and recorded our experiences and opinions on various archery topics.

We had some Hot discussions - and you can imagine that Thomas Brugger and I did not always agree. Especially when it comes to the philosophies and ideas on grain weight, arrow physics, and finger protection. It is certain that in these areas we have obvious differences of opinion.

I am excited when the release of the first video when it is ready for release on the YouTube channel of BOGENSPORT FREIER.

Then we went to the archery shooting area of Archery Freier to test our skills on flying targets (Archery Trap). Alexander Freier set up the disc throwing machine and the fun started!

    Super!!!!
    That demands more!

Of course, many pictures and video recordings were also made of everyone shooting at the flying discs! We used Flu Flu arrows for shooting at the flying discs and Thomas Brugger showed with my Shrew Bow and a Bodnik Bows Quick Stick that he can hit them "from the hip".

I was glad that I was able to hit the flying disc twice and took home with me the resolution to invest in more personal training here. Alexander and Thomas showed that they are skilled and can score here and Thomas dominated the shooting with his 3 hits!

Anyone who wants the ability to hit a pheasant in flight should first practice on flying discs to develop their skill in hitting objects flying through the air.

Give it a try, it's a lot of fun! And who knows? You may find that you're really good at it!

Many thanks to Thomas Brugger from BogenSportExtrem and to the team of archery shop "Bogensport Freier" in Würzburg/Germany.
